Barbara Ann McClain Hein, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 in Amarillo, Texas.Services will be held at a later date and burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home.Barbara was born in New Lenox, Illinois on March 13, 1937 to C.G. & Marion McClain. The family moved to Dalhart in 1950. Her dad worked for Rock Island Railroad. She graduated from High School in 1956 in Dalhart, Texas. Barbara married Richard Dick Hein, Sr on August 29, 1966. They owned and operated the Jr. High Supply on E. 10th in Dalhart. Barbara was an avid bowler and served in many positions in Dalhart Womens Bowling Association. She was also a Baseball Fan, she followed the Chicago White Sox as a child and later in life she enjoyed watching the Texas Rangers on TV. Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister and two brothers. She is survived by her sons, Richard Hein, Jr. of Fritch, TX, Dan Morgan and wife Ann of Amarillo, TX and one daughter, Kathy Hein of Fritch, TX, two brothers, George McClain and Charles McClain and 2 grandchildren, Ashley Morgan and Christopher Morgan of Amarillo, TX.
