Annmargaret Smith, 65, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021 in Amarillo, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at the Hartley County Justice of the Peace office 701 E. Texas Blvd. in Dalhart, Texas. Annmargaret Foster was born in Hawick, Scotland on Sunday, March 18, 1956 to James Rae and Elizabeth (Wallace) Foster. She grew up mostly in Northern Ireland but remained a devoted Scottish gal. Annmargaret relocated to the United States in 1999 and on August 18, 1999 she married Gary Smith. Together they enjoyed life and all its adventures. Annmargaret worked as a clerk for the Hartley County Justice of the Peace for many years. Annmargaret is preceded in death by her parents, James and Elizabeth Foster of Northern Ireland. Annmargaret is survived by her husband Gary Smith of Dalhart and by many loved ones, dear to her heart, in the Dalhart community.
