Annie Mae Davis, 99, died Sunday, December 26, 2010 in Dalhart, TXFuneral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 30th, 2010 at the Dalhart Church of Christ with Jeff Ratliff, Minister officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, TX. Arrangements under the direction of Horizon funeral Home. Annie Mae Ridenour was born October 2, 1911 near Potsboro, Texas to William and Ollie (Stewart) Ridenour. Annie grew up in Grayson County and attended school in Cashan, Oak Grove and Pottsboro. On December 10, 1927 she married Jim Wual Davis. They moved to Dalhart in 1942. They owned and operated Rita Blanca Studio. Annies Photography career spanned nearly 4 decades - from 1945 to the mid 80s. She was a member of the Dalhart Church of Christ.Survivors include her daughters Helen Moon of Dalhart, TX, Delories Brown of Conroe, TX and a son Wual Gene Davis of Dumas, TX, a sister Stella Thornton of Sierra Vista, AZ.9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 18 Great-great grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters and a son-in-law.
