Anita Kelley, 81, died Thursday, December 27, 2012 in Dalhart, Texas Funeral Services were held at 10:00 Monday, December 31, 2012 at the Church of the Nazarene in Dalhart, TX. Burial as in Clayton Memorial Cemetery, Clayton, NM.Anita Smith was born on July 11, 1931 to Othie and Gladys (Winters) Smith in Detroit, Michigan. She attended school and graduated high school. Anita worked various places as a secretary: Dowell in Perryton, Priestley-Langhorne, Dalhart, and Citizen State Bank in Dalhart. She worked at Bar H as a hostess and that is what she enjoyed most because she got to visit with people. Anita loved her animals and her special friend whom she loved like a daughter, Shayla Hornoff.She is survived by her son Rande and his wife Peggy Kelley of Dalhart, TX, Brothers: Gerald & Patricia Smith of Ft. Worth, TX, Clifford and his wife Peggy Smith of Tucson, AZ, Sister: Lydia Smith of Roy, NM, Granddaughters: Stephanie Kelley of Lubbock, TX. Angela Reynolds of Dalhart, TX, Grandsons: Matt Kelley of Dallas, TX, Padric & Mellissa Dillon of Temple TX 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.Preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Howard L Smith and John E. Smith, Sister, Beverly Jean Marker and grandson, John Dillon.
