Alpha Chumley, 93, died Monday July 20, 2015 in Stratford, TexasFuneral Services were held at 11:00 am, Friday, July 24, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Dalhart with Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery Pastor, Rodney Weatherly, officiating: Arrangements by Horizon Funeral Home.Alpha Mae Hubbard was born December 17, 1921 in Beaver, OK to Levi and Edna (Stotts) Hubbard. Alpha grew up in Dalhart and June 14, 1941 she married Richard Chumley in Clayton, NM. Richard died June 5, 1995. Alpha was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church, a Volunteer Pink Lady at the Hospital, a member of the 55 Plus Club, and the Rhem Home Demonstration Club. Her passion for cooking made her the go to person for each of her grandkids - Alpha loved to make each one their favorite dish! Survivors include her daughter: Edna and husband Bill Keel of Dalhart, TX Sons: Dick Chumley and wife Barbara of Stratford, TX and Garry Chumley of Dalhart, TX. 5 grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.
