Alice Yoder, 73, died Friday, July 21, 2017 in Amarillo, Texas. Graveside services were held Tuesday, July 25th, 2017 at 11:00 am in Memorial Park Cemetery Dalhart, TX. under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home, Dalhart, Texas. Officiating was Steve Patterson, Pastor, Central United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband Jim Yoder, her daughters Kay Yoder of Wylie, TX and Ann Yoder Hayworth of Houston, TX and sisters - Dee Scott of Cheney, KS and Jolene Fry of Hugo, OK. Alice Lanell Griffith was born February 3, 1944 in Idabel, OK to Guy and Ruby (Beard) Griffith. In the early 1960s, Alice moved to Dalhart with her mother and brother where her mother was a school teacher. On August 31, 1962, she married Jim Yoder and they farmed together in Dalhart. Alice enjoyed doing needlepoint artwork, and was diligent in making sure the farm hands were fed and taking care of her home. Alice was known for her spicy spirit. Alice is preceded in death by her parents, and a brother Wayne Griffith.
