Alice Jean Howell, 77 died Thursday, July 30, 2015 in Dalhart, TXService were held at 10:00 am Monday, August 3, 2015 at the Lincoln Street Baptist Church in Dalhart, TX. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home.Officiating was Rusty Hancock, Minister of Lincoln Street Baptist Church, Dalhart, TX.Alice Jean Payne was born July 29, 1938 to Alvin and Mary (Tinney) Payne. They moved to Dalhart in 1951 where she finished school. Alice married Clois Howell, March 12, 1955 in Clayton, NM. Alice helped Clois work as a Toms Snack Food distributor for twenty-four years. She was also a nurses assistant at Coon Memorial Home for many years as well. She was an active member of the Lincoln Street Baptist Church and the Dalhart Senior Citizen Center. She loved spending time with her family, friends, and members of the church.
