Alfredo Davila, 78, died Saturday, September 15, 2018 in Dalhart, Texas. Vigil was held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 18, 2018. Funeral Mass was at 9:00 am on Wednesday, September 19, 2018. Officiating- Father Lawrence John, Pastor of St. Anthonys of Padua. Burial followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements provided by Horizon Funeral Home, Dalhart, TX. Alfredo Davila was born June 18, 1940 in Mexico but spent most of his life in the USA, never forgetting his hometown or his heritage. He married Maria Sanchez in 1959. Known for his contagious smile, being a dad, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend, he will always be remembered! Alfredo did it all: he was a farmer, mechanic, had a garden, and enjoyed making carnitas and chicharrons for everyone! He is survived by his wife Maria Davila and his children: Pedro Davila, Angelina Davila, Elvia Davila, Jose M. Davila, Alfredo Davila, Adriana Davila, Hugo H. Davila, Patricia Rocco and Miguel Davila all of Dalhart, TX. 34 Grandchildren and 27 Great Grandchldren.
