Adelalydia (Adela) Martinez, 43, died Friday, May 3, 2013 in Dalhart, TXRosary will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, May 8, 2013 and a Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am at St. Anthonys of Padua Catholic Church, Dalhart, Texas Officiating - Monsignor Michael Colwell, PastorBurial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home Dalhart, Texas.Adelalydia Adela Gonzales was born September 9, 1969 in Dalhart, TX to Leandro and Rosa Maria (Perez) Gonzales. She grew up in Dalhart and graduated from Dalhart High School in 1989. Adela married Guadalupe Martinez on May 5, 1996 in Dalhart, TX. She was a housekeeper for the Best Western Hotel for several years here in Dalhart.Adela and Guadalupe had no children of their own but loved and cared for most all her nieces and nephews as if they were her own. She loved music, dancing, being outdoors and cooking for family and friends. The love of her life was her husband, Guadalupe and her Chihuahua dogs. In general she loved life and mostly all those around her. Adela was very giving, expecting nothing in return. Survivors include her husband, Guadalupe Martinez of Dalhart, TX., her father, Leandro Gonzales of Dalhart, TX, five brothers: Raymond Gonzales and fiance Christina Lucero, Martin and Melissa Gonzales and Benjamin Gonzales all of Dalhart, TX, Leandro IV and Maria Gonzales of Graham, TX and Jeremiah Gonzales of Borger, TX., and several nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her mother, Rosa Marie Gonzales and her grandparents.
