Nancy Greene

Nancy Ann Greene, 72, of Denver, Colorado, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2024, in Aurora, Colorado. Born on January 19, 1952, in Dalhart, Texas, to her late parents Herbert Gaines Cantrell and Jennie Bell Cantrell, Nancy lived a life filled with love, faith, and devotion to her family.

A graduate of Dalhart High School, Nancy moved to Denver in January 1971 to pursue her education at a local business school. It was during this time that she met the love of her life and lifelong partner, Larry Gene Green. Their chance meeting, facilitated by a helpful bouncer, blossomed into a beautiful romance, leading to their marriage on March 29, 1971.

Nancy dedicated her life to her family as a loving homemaker. She poured her heart into raising her children and grandchildren, whom she cherished deeply. Her unwavering commitment to her family extended to caring for Larry with utmost devotion. A woman of strong faith, Nancy was a devout Baptist who attended church regularly until her health no longer permitted.

Throughout her life, Nancy pursued various creative interests. She found joy in solving word search puzzles, writing poetry, and drawing. Her artistic inclinations were evident in her lifelong dream of becoming a fashion designer. Nancy's creativity and passion for life touched all who knew her.

Nancy's legacy is one of love, faith, and family. She touched many lives with her kindness and warmth and will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will continue to inspire and comfort those she leaves behind.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband Larry of Elizabeth, CO, one son, Justin Matthew Greene, one daughter, Heather Lynn Greene, two grandchildren, Shaun Alexander Greene and Adrian Greene, sister-in-law, Elizabeth Cantrell and her two children, Carolina and Thomas, and many cousins and a community of friends and family who will forever cherish her memory. May she rest in peace, reunited with her Lord and Savior.

A Graveside Service is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Monday, September 23, 2024 in Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart, TX. Nancy will lay in state from noon until 1:30 PM on Monday at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Dalhart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
