Listen to Obituary

Mina Frazier, 85 of Dalhart, Texas, a beacon of love and laughter, found peace in the arms of her Heavenly father on September 18, 2025, in Ft. Worth, Texas, surrounded by her beloved family. Born on November 27, 1939, in Ansley, Nebraska, Mina's journey through life was marked by her unwavering spirit and deep-rooted affection for those around her. Her spirit and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. As a remarkable woman of faith and love, Mina has left an indelible mark on this world, and her memory will be celebrated during a Celebration of Life service on October 11, 2025, at the Church of The Nazarene in Dalhart, Texas. Friends and family are invited to come together at 2:00PM to honor the remarkable life and boundless love of a woman whose legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

At the age of 15 she married Carl Keenan in Clayton, New Mexico. Shortly after she moved to Dalhart, Texas, where her legacy in the community she loved and dedicated her life began. She later was blessed to marry the love of her life, Jack Frazier in August of 1977 in Clayton, New Mexico.

For over seventy years, Mina called the Dalhart community her home. A place where she became an integral part of the tapestry of life. She proudly served as a Private Caregiver, Collection Agent for American National Life Insurance, and a Licensed Vocational Nurse at Coon Memorial Nursing Home, bringing comfort and care to many. As the owner of the Cactus Club in Dalhart, Mina's infectious laughter and genuine warmth invited everyone to share in moments of joy.

Education was important to Mina; she obtained her GED and later earned her certificate as a Licensed Vocational Nurse—an accomplishment that showcased her determination and commitment to helping others. Her bright personality was a gift to all who knew her; she possessed an innate ability to uplift the spirits of those around her through her smile and laughter.

Mina was a devoted mother, grandmother, and a proud member of her five-generational family. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren, imparting wisdom and love that transcended generations. Her strict 9:00PM bedtime ritual for her children was legendary. It became a cherished memory that brought smiles and laughter to those close to her family. Her dedication to her children was always demonstrated in everything she did. Especially during Christmas when she would stay up late to make each Holiday season special. With little rest, excited little ones would wake her with joy as they discovered gifts beneath the tree and in their stockings.

A diligent member of the Dalhart Church of the Nazarene, Mina filled the air with music that resonated with the warmth of her heart. She not only played hymns on the piano but also delighted in singing at church. Ensuring that her passion for worship enriched the lives of others. Her spirit thrived in the solace of reading, the challenge of crossword puzzles and sudoku, and the joy of sharing time with her family.

Mina’s legacy is fortified by the love of her surviving family. Her sister, Patricia Louise Williams of Florida; son, Grady Lee Keenan, (Dottie) of Lockhart, Texas; daughter, Katharine Ellen "Kitty" Harris of Dalhart, Texas; daughter, Rebecca Jolene "Becky" Mattler of Gravette, Arkansas; daughter, Carla Denise Chipps (Gerald) of Graford, Texas; and her remarkable lineage of 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Mina was preceded in death by her father, John Leroy Mills; her mother, Mary Elizabeth Dittmar Mills; her first husband, Carl Keenan; her beloved husband, Jack Frazier; her son, Garrett Leslie "Les" Keenan; her daughter, Wynona Lynn "Nonie" Harris; her brother, Joe Mills; and her son-in-law, William Mattler.
