Kathy Morin, 64 of Dalhart, left her earthen vessel to live in glory on Saturday, May 4, 2024. A Service Celebrating Kathy's life is scheduled for 2 o' clock in the afternoon on Saturday, May 11, 2024 in New Life Church with Pastor Richard Rodriguez of New Life Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Texline Cemetery. Mrs. Morin will lie in state from noon until 8 o' clock in the evening on Friday in Dalhart Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Kathy's Homegoing Service was left entrusted to Dalhart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Please join us as we come together to celebrate Kathy's life and bid her a peaceful farewell. Kathy Marie Morin will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest in eternal peace. Kathy will be remembered for her kindness, her resilience, and her unwavering love for her family.

She was born on October 2, 1959, in Tunica, Missippi, to her loving parents: William Oliver and Rivers Virginia Busby. She attended high school and found joy in housekeeping. Kathy dedicated her life to her family and her work in janitorial services, proudly serving the business industry. Her hard work and commitment to her craft were evident to all who knew her. Kathy was happily married to the love of her life, Gilberto Morin, Sr., until his passing on January 6, 2023. They were united in marriage on July 27, 1987. Kathy had a heart of gold, always offering prayers for everyone. Despite facing life's challenges, she remained steadfast and strong, leaving a lasting impact on those around her. Kathy had a heart of gold and was always thinking and praying for anyone and everyone. She cherished every minute she was able to spend with her family; especially her grandchildren. Kathy attended New Life Church and had been a part of the community for over 44 years. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Oliver and Rivers Virginia Busby, as well as her husband, Gilberto Morin Sr., her son, Justin Morin, four brothers, and three sisters.

Kathy is survived by her children: Felicia Tiggs of Dalhart, Gilberto Morin Jr. "Tinker" of Amarillo, and D'Vonne Morin of Dalhart. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Greg Tiggs of Dalhart, her grandchildren: Haylie and Xavien Tiggs of Dalhart, Tyler Morin of Amarillo, and Avery Forsythe of Oklahoma. Additionally, Kathy leaves behind great-grandchildren: Jayden, Ashthynne, Vincent, Sloan, and Rayleigh Morin, Carter Swaffer and Lydia Forsythe.
