Judy Kay Lees

Judy Kay Lees was born on July 1, 1945, to Harmon Pate and Betty LeVick Pate in Brownwood, Texas. She passed away on August 8, 2025, in Dalhart, Texas.

She was raised in Altus, Oklahoma. She married Robert Mike Lees on May 31, 1963. They lived most of their years together in Tucumcari and Logan, New Mexico. Judy was a hairdresser for over 38 years. "Judy, Judy, Judy' was an active Methodist Woman, and was also involved with the Tucumcari Chamber of Commerce and the schools in Tucumcari and Logan where Mike coached and taught. 

Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Lees and her son Greg Lees. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Nancy Hawley and brother-in-law, John Hawley. 

Judy is survived by her son, Russell Lees and wife Jana of Clayton, NM; her beloved grandchildren, Marissa and husband Aaron, Aniston, Matt, Abi, Aubrey, and Garrett; two great-grandchildren, Bradyen and Carson; brother, Mike Pate and wife Mitzi, and numerous nieces and nephews. She also loved the staff at Coon Memorial Nursing Home.

A graveside memorial service will be held on August 30, 2025, at 11:00am MST at the Tucumcari, NM Cemtery.
