José Manuel Dávila, 57 of Dalhart, passed away on June 8, 2025. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:00am on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Father Lawrence John celebrating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited at 8:00pm on Wednesday in the Dalhart Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Mr. Davila will lie in repose beginning at 10:00am on Wednesday until 10:00pm at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Dalhart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Jose Manuel Davila was born on June 26, 1967, in Tierritas Blancas, Zacatecas, Mexico, to Alfredo and Maria Sanchez Davila. He completed high school and pursued additional education in general studies.

In September of 1989, Jose met the love of his life, Graciela Jimenez. Together, they built a life full of love, dedication, and family.

Jose had a deep love for soccer, found peace while out on the water in his fishing boat, and cherished every opportunity to return to his beloved hometown in Mexico. A hardworking and proud man, he founded Davila & Sons Trucking in 2002, a business that reflected his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication. He enjoyed spending time in his shop, working on his trucks with great pride.

Above all, Jose loved his family, his greatest joy came from being surrounded by them, especially his grandchildren. He treasured every moment spent together and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Jose was a valued member of his community for over 25 years and a devoted parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alfredo Davila, and his granddaughter, Gladys Davila.

Jose is survived by his beloved wife, Graciela; his children, Victor Davila, Junior Davila, Maritza Davila, and Dahlia Lujan; and his cherished grandchildren, Lilly Davila, Reese Davila, and Leovan Lujan. He is also survived by his brothers Hugo, Pedro, Alfredo, and Miguel Davila; and sisters Elvia Davila, Angelina Pozos, Patty Davila, and Adrianna Davila.
