Jimmie Roy Page, 92, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026, in Dalhart, Texas. Born on May 2, 1934, in Clayton, New Mexico, Jimmie lived a life deeply rooted in values and traditions. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026 at 10:00 am at Hartley Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Dalhart Funeral Home.
Raised in Clayton and Sedan, New Mexico, Jimmie’s early years were marked by a strong connection to the land and community that shaped him. He dedicated many years to Union County Feeders as a cowboy and horse farrier, roles that reflected his deep love for horses and the cowboy way of life. His hands guided more than just horses; for over 30 years, Jimmie owned and operated Double JJ Welding, showcasing his skill and dedication as a craftsman. Later, together with his beloved wife Audene, he opened Page's Antiques, which they lovingly ran for around a decade before relocating to Dalhart, Texas, in 2016.
Jimmie proudly served his country, enlisting in the United States Army in 1956. Though he enjoyed his time in the service, he notably disliked his KP duty, a testament to his straightforward and honest nature. His patriotism and commitment to serving others were integral parts of his character.
His passions extended beyond his professional life. Jimmie’s heart was in the great outdoors, especially in riding horses and embracing cowboy culture. He delighted in cruising around town and through the countryside, nurturing his appreciation for simpler, quieter moments. His interests in antique tractors, tractor pulls, antiquing, and gardening spoke to a lifelong curiosity and an enduring appreciation for the agricultural lifestyle and natural beauty.
Jimmie is survived by Lawana Ford Page, his daughter-in-law of Dalhart, Texas; Michael Mayes (Xenia), his grandson; three great-granddaughters, Madison Mayes (Kolton Carpenter), Hailey Mayes, and Molly Jo Mayes; and a great-great grandson, John Waylon, all of Amarillo, Texas; Heath Price (Dakari), his nephew of Carthage, TX, Wade Lenz, his honorary son, and his very dear friends, Dale Cleavinger and Lanell Williams. They carry forward his legacy of family love and dedication.
He was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Audene (Price) Page; son, Jim Page; grandson, Jesse James Page; and his mother, Hazel (Casida) Jones.
Jimmie Page’s life was a testament to a generation built on hard work, loyalty to family, and love for country and community. His memory will endure in the hearts of all who knew him and were touched by his spirit. We remember him with profound respect and gratitude for the life he lived and the example he set.
