Jean Brazeal, 70, passed away at her home on September 6th, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.
Memorial services will be held at 2 pm on September 13th, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Dalhart with Donna Milton officiating. Arrangements and cremation are entrusted to Dalhart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Jean was born on November 26, 1954, in Trinidad Colorado. She married Don Brazeal July 17, 1972, in Trinchera, CO. they were long time residents of Branson CO where they raised 3 children, Billy, Melissa and Dillon.
Jean was a true caregiver, taking care of everyone and everything around her. She worked as a bus driver and cook for the school in Branson, CO for 16 years. She cooked many ranch meals for F&F Cattle and HC Cattle CO. She was the property manager for David and Francis Hanna for many years. in her later years she spent working for Poling Harvesting. She was a very proud Grandma Jeanie and loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. She enjoyed sitting on the porch visiting with family and having get togethers. Jean will be greatly missed and deeply cherished by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by loving husband Don Brazeal, Father Tom Ward, mother-in-law Hazel Brazeal and stepfather-in-law Bernard “Braz” Brazeal.
Survivors include her beloved children. Son Billy Brazeal and wife Sara of Beulah, CO, daughter Melissa Brazeal and wife Susanne of Dumas, son Dillon Brazeal and wife Andrea of Dalhart, Tx. Mother Rose ward of Branson, Co. Grandchildren Brock Brazeal and wife Hailey of Garden City KS, Reed and wife Averey of Marlow, OK, Ryatt Brazeal of Beaulah CO. Lukacey Solis and husband Cruz of Dalhart, Lakresha Roush and wife Michaela of Dumas TX, Kolton Russell of Dumas TX, Gabby Huseman and husband Jack of Amarillo TX, J.J. Bower of Dalhart and Sierra Brazeal of Lubbock TX. Great grandchildren Briggs Brazeal, Oakland Brazeal, Logan and Hennessy Solis, J.D and Natalie Huseman. Sister and brother in laws Jackie and Charles Mock, Berta and Irwin Morton, and Tommy and Roachie Ward and numerous nieces and nephew who she loved as her own.
