Dora Sisco passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, at the age of 96. Dora "Dodie" Sisco was born on April 16, 1930, in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Clarence and Pearl Webb. Dodie married the love of her life Carl Sisco on June 3, 1948, in Mountainair, New Mexico and thus began their life, a life built rooted in faith, family and love.

Viewing for Dora "Dodie" Sisco will be Friday, May 22, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dalhart Funeral Home Chapel with private family from 6:00 Pm to 8:00 pm. Graveside Service to be held Saturday, May 23, 2026, 10:00 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart, Texas. The family has entrusted Dalhart Funeral Home and Cremation Services to honor Dora's final wishes.

Dora was preceded in death by her beloved husband Carl Sisco, her daughter Carolyn Jane Sisco, and her daughter Naoma "Tissie" Gambrell, her mother Pearl Webb and her father Clarence along with 7 brothers and 4 sisters and son in law Eugene Bowman.

Her legacy lives on through her son Carl and his wife Judy Sisco of Dalhart, Texas, daughter Linda Bowman of Fort Worth, Texas son Billy and his wife Melody Sisco of Amarillo, Texas and son in law Richard Gambrell of Amarillo, Texas and her 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren with 2 great great grandchildren on the way.

Dora was a strong Christian woman whose life reflected kindness, forgiveness and selflessness in every season. Dora worked many jobs over the years including; owning and operating Dodie's Diner in Channing, Texas, working at Coon Memorial Nursing Home, but her favorite job was being a homemaker, mom and grandmother. Dora loved spending time with the grandkids and attending all their activities. Dora enjoyed attending and volunteering at the Church of Christ activities. Dora enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and collecting baby dolls.

Dora was very active in the Church of Christ between Channing, Dalhart, Dumas and Amarillo for many years.

Dora was a woman of many names, "Dodie to friends and the community, "Granny" and "Mammie" by her grandchildren.
