Donna Hagan Brandes

Donna Hagan Brandes, a beloved wife, mother, and an extraordinary individual, passed away on May 16, 2025, at the age of 84 in Amarillo, Texas. Born on May 2, 1941, in Denver, Colorado, Donna made a significant impact on the lives of many during her time on earth.

Donna was a proud graduate of Dalhart High School and furthered her education in Colorado, where she received multiple certificates in business. Her passion for learning and self-improvement reflected her strong-willed personality and commitment to living a meaningful life. Donna married Lloyd Brandes on June 30, 1989, in Vega, Texas.

A dedicated professional, Donna devoted a considerable part of her career to the grain industry, where she served as a secretary for various companies. Her commitment to service continued when she joined St. James Anglican Church, where she worked as a secretary for 19 years until her retirement in October 2024.

Known for her kindness and positivity, Donna was loved by all who knew her. She strived to live by God's Word, finding joy and fulfillment in her faith. A woman of remarkable character, she embraced life fully and was an amazing mother and wife. Her family will remember her not only for her love and strength but also for her unwavering integrity and ability to stay true to her word.

Donna is survived by her husband Lloyd Brandes, two daughters, two stepdaughters, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Doris Hagan, and one sister. Donna's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the honor of knowing her. Her spirit will continue to inspire her family and friends as they carry forward the values and love she so generously shared.

Graveside service will be held 2:00PM Central 1:00PM Mountain Time at Clayton Cemetery in Clayton, NM, with Father Ray, officiating.
