Daniel’s passing leaves a profound emptiness in the hearts of all who knew him, but his legacy of love, hard work, and devotion will live on. Born on July 26, 1948 in Raton, New Mexico, to Adolph and Esther Garcia, Daniel was a hardworking and dedicated man who devoted his life to caring for his family. From an early age, he understood the value of perseverance and commitment. As a handyman, Daniel spent his years working with his hands, always ready to lend his skills to anyone in need. After retiring, he found joy in simple pleasures like fishing, crafting beautiful crosses, and occasionally testing his luck at the casinos. His love for life and the people around him was evident in everything he did.

Daniel was a man of deep faith, a member of Grace Church of Borger, Texas, where he found strength and comfort in his community. His faith and integrity shaped his every action and left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

He leaves behind a cherished family who were the center of his world. Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Maria Garcia, of Borger, Texas, with whom he shared many years of love and companionship. His five children—Danette and Randy Tafoya, Daniel Garcia Jr., Richie Garcia, Chris Garcia, Katrina and Tyler Carnesecca, Angela and Leland Lurz, and Anna and Jason Emmert—carry forward his spirit and his commitment to family. His sisters—Rebecca Romero, Shirley Luera, Gloria Chavira, Judy Gallegos, Paula Isbell, Virginia Encinias, and Cleofes Garcia.

Daniel was a proud grandfather to 18 grandchildren, who each held a special place in his heart. They include Nathean Gomez, Desires Fresquez, Christopher Garcia, Anjelica Olivia Gaspar, Mackenzie Brossett, Corbin, Coltin, and Addysin Carnesecca, Damien Garcia, Shelby Garcia, Sadie Quiroz, Konni Garcia, Patty Garcia, Christian Garcia, Alyssa Longoria, Desiree Jimenez, Chloe Klaus, Davian Canales, Logan Lurz, Joshua Dallas, Emily and Alec Alfaro, Courtney Emmert, Blaine Dallas and Kennedy Dallas. He was also blessed with thirty-four great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immeasurable joy.

Daniel was a man who loved deeply and worked tirelessly to support those he cherished. His family was his greatest pride, and his love for them was evident in his every action. He was known by many, and his presence will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Daniel’s gentle nature, his unwavering work ethic, and his ability to bring people together will never be forgotten.

In his passing, Daniel leaves behind a legacy of strength, faith, and unconditional love. While his physical presence may no longer be with us, his spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who knew him. May his memory be a blessing to all who loved him.
