Clifford Johnson, 81 of Dalhart, Texas, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, peacefully passed away on December 2, 2025, in Dalhart, Texas. The legacy of Clifford Johnson will be honored at a graveside service on December 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart, Texas, where family and friends will gather in reflection and celebration of a life well-lived. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Dalhart Funeral Home. Arrangements are entrusted to Dalhart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Born on February 28, 1944 in Campo Colorado, Clifford, a Dalhart resident of 42 years, lived a life deeply rooted in his passion for farming, which not only sustained him but also brought joy to those around him. A devoted San Francisco 49ers fan, he will now be watching every game from the best seat in the stadium.
Clifford was married to Gloria (Ellis) Johnson in Clayton, New Mexico on January 6, 1973, with whom he shared many cherished memories. He is survived by his three devoted sons: Crispin Johnson, married to Amber Johnson of Rockville, Missouri; Trenton Johnson, married to Kandice Johnson of Dalhart, Texas; and Theodore Johnson, married to Shana Johnson of Butler, Missouri. He was also a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren and a great-grandfather to three great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to his life.
In addition to his immediate family, Clifford is survived by his loving sisters: Alice Murry, Letha Orona, Phyliss Billings, and Mary Malthie, who will always hold his memory dear.
Clifford was preceded in death by his father, Russel Johnson, and his mother, Ida (Jones) Johnson. He was also preceded by his son Byron Johnson and daughter Nina Johnson, whose absence left a lasting impact on his family.
Clifford's memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the pleasure to know him. He touched many lives through his work, his kindness, and his unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed yet fondly remembered.
