Brendan L. Torres, 19 of Dalhart, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. A Funeral Service is scheduled for 2:00pm on Monday, October 10, 2022 at the Rita Blanca Coliseum with Deacon Mike Anzaldua, Terry Stegall, Richard Rodriguez and Kurtis Abla officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4:00pm on Sunday at the Rita Blanca Coliseum. A rosary will follow the visitation at 5:00pm at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home.
Brendan was born on June 10, 2003 to Jesse and Shannon Torres in Dalhart. He graduated from Dalhart High School just last May 2022 and was enrolled to start CDL classes later this month. Although Brendan gave his older brother hard time, he looked up to him and followed in his footsteps to become a member of the Dalhart Volunteer Fire Dept. For 11 years of his life, he was a part of the stock show swine circuit where he had extended family and friends. The family would like to send a special thank you to Chance Waldrip and Tuffy Henry for instilling the amazing work ethic that they promised us they would. In his spare time, he enjoyed horseback riding, especially Apollo. He liked to golf, hunt, and watch Chicago Fire on Netflix. Brendan liked to have a good time and make people laugh. He was a member of St Anthony's Catholic Church and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his parents: Jesse and Shannon Torres of the home; grandparents: Juan and Mary Torres of Dalhart and Gloria Rael and Bob Holland both of Clayton; one brother; Devin Vigil of Dalhart and one sister: Alex Vigil of Dalhart; one nephew: Bryce Vigil; one niece: Hadley Vigil, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
