Anna Moore Taylor

Anna Moore Taylor, 87 of Hartley and Dalhart, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 10:00am, Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart with David Vincent officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Dalhart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Anna, the beloved daughter of Walter Paul and Bertie Louise Kimmel, has passed away. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Her unwavering devotion to her Lord and Savior was the foundation of her life, bringing her comfort and strength. Anna's family held a special place in her heart, especially her husband Don and their children Donna, Gaye, Jerry, and Teresa. She had a remarkable talent for sewing and lovingly crafted beautiful clothes for her family. On special occasions, she would even create matching outfits for her children. A particularly memorable project was the replication of an Evil Kinevil suit for Jerry, as well as designing wedding dresses for Donna and Gaye. Anna's dedication extended to the Hartley cheerleading squad, as she sewed uniforms for every member.

Another passion of Anna's was her love for all children. Throughout her career, she shared her gift of teaching as a second-grade teacher at Hartley ISD from 1971 until her retirement. She also served in children's church and cherished each child as her own. Even after retirement, Anna's memory of her former students remained strong. Anna's faith was steadfast, and she enriched the lives of many through her teachings. She conducted numerous bible studies and consistently prepared herself to share the love of her Lord with anyone she encountered.

For several years, Anna yearned to return home, and now her wish has been granted. Those who knew her understand the joy that she is experiencing in the presence of her Lord.

Anna is preceded in death by her beloved husband Don Moore, her second husband Virgil Taylor, her daughter Donna Blagg, and her brothers Bob and Ben Kimmel.

Anna is survived by her loving daughter Gaye Cooley and husband Donnie of Burleson, Texas, her devoted son Jerry Moore and wife Candy of Whitney, Texas, and her cherished daughter Teresa Moore and husband Lee of Amarillo, Texas. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and eleven great-great-grandchildren and her best friend Paulette Clark.
